Whats happening with Osteo in Oz
« on: 09 June, 2008, 11:45:04 pm »

Hi guys,

Have been working in Sweden and UK in Osteo for the last few years.  Just wondering what the new fads might be?
Is everything still pilates, core stability?  Has dry needling and neuromobs be taken up by many?  Are we moving towards the more functional assessment and treatment of things?

Osteos in Oz are fantastic, personally i think we are heading toward more evidence-based practices, lobbying for further medicare rebates, limited prescription rights and expanded imaging rights. These may sound great for the credibility and recognition of the profession within the medical circle, however it comes with great responsibility and skills.
